Converting XML Schemas 2003-03-03 - By neilg@(protected)
Hello,
Once XML Schema 1.1 does come out, this will be a very excellent question and hopefully some resources will be forthcoming to help answer it. But the version of XML Schema from 2001 is the only version of XML Schema that any production system should be using; all previous versions were not considered final and hence were only suitable for experimentation. So I'd be pretty surprised if much tooling had been written for them.
Hope that helps! Neil Neil Graham XML Parser Development IBM Toronto Lab Phone: 905-413-3519, T/L 969-3519 E-mail: neilg@(protected)

Hello
Does anyone know of any tools or documents that explain what it takes to upgrade an XML Schema specified in version 1.0(ie., 1999) to XML Schema 1.1, or convert the other way possibly loosing some richness.
(I would like to know how two systems can interoperate if they are designed to work on different versions of XML Schema(ie., 1999 and 2001 versions).)
Thanks. ~r
